On Monday May 31, 2010 the members of Appomattox Commandery No 6 assisted the members of Dinwiddie Lodge No 136 A. F. & A. M. of Virginia in a Memorial Day Observance as organized by Sir Knight Tommy F. Peters, Jr.

November 23, 2003 at 2:00 PM, 29 Sir Knights with family and friends assembled at Blandford Cemetery in Petersburg, Va. for a Memorial Service for the six Past Grand Commanders of Appomattox Commandery No 6 who have served as Grand Commander of Knights Templar of The Grand Commandery of Virginia.

Appomattox Commandery No. 6 participated in a Funeral Re-enactment for Sir Knight James Tolleison Morris II (1830-1890), as part of the 150th Anniversary of J. T. Morris Funeral Home.

The Grand Commander's August 21 Official Visit to the 3rd District has been postponed. A new date will be set soon.

Details for the District 6 Knight Templar School of Instruction are finalized. The date has been set for the - District 6 Knight Templar School of Instruction - for all newly Knighted Sir Knights and all other Sir Knights who desire to receive updated instruction on Tactics and be part of this excellent learning and refresher course.

My sincere personal thanks go out to the DDGCs who have sent me my copy of their Official Visit Reports in a very timely manner. I also thank the Commanderies who have submitted their recommendations for DDGC 2011-12. To the rest, please submit your reports as you make your visits, and please RUSH your recommendations for DDGC. I really desire to appoint someone whom YOU want in this important position. They need to be notified ASAP in order for them to plan accordingly. (Districts 1 & 2 have already been filled.)

Due to family issues the official visit to the 7th and 8th Districts have been changed to both on September 18, 2010.
